  • Carron Co Georgian Hobgrate

    Here’s another picture of the Carron Hobgrate we put into the house we are working on up in Shropshire. It’s rendered in now with lime and the hearth has been oiled so it’s looking pretty smart. Note the servents bell pull to the right hand side of the chimney breast!

  • Carron Co Hobgrate

    Here is the Carron Co hobgrate for the Shropshire property mid way through restoration. The grate is destined to be coupled with a black marble roundel surround and has two curved ribbed cast iron panels that sit on the hobs. It’s a rare find and will look great once installed with a fire blazing. More on this in the next few weeks.

    Here’s a photo of a Georgian Hograte that I restored for a company in Bristol. These larger sizes (32″ wide) are getting harder and harder to come across but look great once installed with all the correct masonary.
